THE FOREST OF THOUGHT
Wandering lost in a forest of thought.
Trunks old and tired, they make
up my lot.
In browns and grays and the air stale and dry.
”But this is the Way!” i hear
and i sigh.
Tree after tree i inspect endless days (daze)!
When, with a shudder, i remember
that Place.
How could i forget?! And nearer than near...
That secret special Space and
the way is clear.
All i have to do is relax Here, Now
And the forest of thought just
disappears somehow.
Instead as i gaze, a new world comes in view
Of beauty, of clarity, so simple,
so true.
Gentle sigh, I find myself in the Garden of Grace.
All burdens gone, i expand into
space.
Deeper, wider, it's so easy to See
This is the way life is meant
to be!
Suchness, love and joy beyond measure
Tears course my face, precious
priceless treasure.
The experience then fades yet i am reborn,
To the forest of thought i no
longer belong.
All just expressions of Life’s mystery,
All in my Self yet untouched:
I AM FREE!
